What is "Aufguss"?

Aufguss is a sensory sauna ritual where a Sauna Master pours water mixed with essential oils on the hot stones and uses a towel to circulate the fragrant steam. It is an intense, relaxing, and meditative experience. Check our booking calendar for specific Aufguss sessions.

Drop-in Sessions

What to bring, when to arrive, and how to prepare for a shared sauna session.

How do drop-in sessions work?

Our drop-in sessions are shared sauna experiences where individuals and small groups enjoy the sauna together with other guests. You book a spot in a shared sauna session rather than reserving the entire boat privately.

Drop-in sessions become available 36 hours before the session time and can only be booked online. They are designed for individuals or small groups (under 3 people) sharing the sauna experience with others.

Food & Drink

Do you sell drinks or snacks?

Booking & Cancellations

Manage your booking: Rules on cancellations and moving your session.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

Yes. If you cancel more than 24 hours before your session, you get a refund (minus a 10% admin fee). If you cancel within 24 hours, the booking is non-refundable. You can reschedule for free once if you give us more than 24 hours' notice. See our full [Booking & Cancellation Policy] for details.

What happens if it rains, or in case of strong winds?

We love the rain! There is nothing quite like sitting in a hot sauna while it rains outside. We only cancel sessions if the wind is too strong (8–9+ m/s) or if there are safety concerns. If we cancel, you get a 100% refund. You can check all sauna cruise departures via this link: https://www.citysauna.no/weather-status.

Safety & Health

Your well-being is our priority: Guidance on lifejackets, health, and safe fjord bathing.
